SEO Is Dead. Say Hello to GEO.
Briefly

Over the past two decades, businesses online have relied heavily on Google for visibility. Ensuring websites are easily found by the search engine has been essential for all businesses. In addition, search-engine optimization, or SEO, has developed into a significant industry focused on improving search rankings. SEO impacts content across the web, influencing how information is presented and read. This process fosters both legitimate and deceptive practices aimed at optimizing Google's algorithms. However, the rise of ChatGPT and chatbot-like search engines is changing the landscape of online search and interactions.
For about two decades now, virtually any business that exists on the internet... has had to worry about Google. At the low end, this meant making sure your website was available and legible to the search engine so that when people looked for you, they could actually find you.
SEO shaped how virtually everything on the web looked and read. It's why headlines are the way they are... and why so much of the web feels so uncanny, as if it's written for someone, or something, other than the people browsing it.
