More SAP license upheaval to come, user group warns
Briefly

SAP has announced changes to its licensing structure with the retirement of its RISE with SAP products, transitioning to the SAP Cloud ERP Private package based on the Full-Use-Equivalent (FUE) metric. This shift, criticized for increasing costs, affects the pricing tiers and requires users to reassess their purchasing and budgeting strategies. The user group DSAG expressed hope that the revised structure meets customer needs, although further changes are anticipated with the impending introduction of the SAP Business Suite construct.
"It is true that the Full-Use-Equivalent metric (FUE) costs more compared to the old RISE Premium. However, it is not new for package contents to be recompiled, as in this case."
"Gartner warned users that the changes modified SAP's volume-based pricing tiers, which results in increased list prices for certain volumes."
