Google Ads Will Stop Serving Message Assets Ads With Unverified Phone Numbers
Briefly

Starting August 1st, Google will enforce verification of phone numbers associated with message assets. If these numbers remain unverified, advertisers will not be able to create new message assets. Existing message assets will stop serving on September 1st if phone numbers are not properly verified. This policy update affects message assets, call-only ads, call assets, and location assets. Google will provide guidance for fixing disapproved ads or assets related to this compliance requirement.
On August 1st, we will update the Unverified phone number section of the Destination requirements policy to make this requirement applicable to message assets, in addition to call-only ads, call assets, and location assets.
Message assets will not serve if the associated phone number does not comply with this policy and cannot be properly verified.
