Pinterest asserts that more than half of its searches are commercial in nature versus roughly 2% for ChatGPT. The company missed fourth-quarter revenue and EPS expectations, reporting $1.32 billion in revenue and $0.67 earnings per share, and forecasted weaker first-quarter 2026 sales. The company cited advertiser pullback, particularly in Europe, and a new furniture tariff as factors. Monthly active users rose 12% to 619 million and shares fell 20% after hours. High usage has not converted into proportional ad revenue, raising monetization concerns in the AI era.
