The PSF has announced its inaugural group of PSF Fellows for 2026, celebrating individuals who have significantly contributed to the Python community. The new fellows include Bill Deegan, El-karece Asiedu, and others who have demonstrated leadership, supported the growth of the Python scientific community, and maintained Python libraries. They have also created educational materials, organized events, and mentored others, making Python more accessible globally. Nominations for the next batch of fellows are open until May 20th, 2026.
