Gil Schafer, an architect specializing in American and English furniture, and Courtnay Daniels, an interior designer with a knack for eclectic Italian and Swedish pieces, married in 2018. They faced the challenge of merging their diverse collecting styles while renovating their Upper East Side apartment. Their design synergy is evident, particularly in their entrance hall featuring deep-green waxed walls, where selected favorite pieces represent their combined aesthetics, balancing antique elegance with contemporary flair, creating a distinct and personal interior.
