You can delete sent text messages on Android now - here's how
Briefly

Google Messages now enables users to delete sent text messages, a feature that is widely available to most Android devices. This option allows a user to remove a message not just from their screen but also from the recipient's view, provided both are using RCS messaging. Users can access this feature by long-pressing a message and selecting the trash can icon, where they can opt to delete for everyone or just themselves. The delete function appears to be permanent, unlike the temporary edit feature that lasts a maximum of 15 minutes.
Google Messages now offers a feature allowing users to delete sent text messages immediately for everyone, provided both users are using RCS messaging.
To delete a message, long press on it within Google Messages and tap the trash can icon, where you can choose to delete it for everyone or just for yourself. If choosing to delete for everyone, be aware that users on older app versions might still see the message.
