More than six in 10 women (61%) who had lost a baby said it was unacceptable for medical professionals to use the term miscarriage. Only 22% found it acceptable.

Dr. Beth Malory's research revealed that 84% of women find medical terms like 'incompetent cervix' unacceptable, indicating a need for more empathetic language.
