WhatsApp glitch lets users see 'View Once' photos MULTIPLE times
Briefly

WhatsApp's 'View Once' tool, popular since its 2021 launch for sending temporary images, has a significant security flaw revealed by researcher Ramsath. The issue means images assumed to vanish can persist on a recipient's device, undermining user privacy and trust. When the 'View Once' image is accessed, it deletes itself in the chat but remains retrievable through storage settings. WhatsApp has since addressed the problem with a fix, emphasizing the importance of privacy in a digital landscape filled with permanent records.
If you use the tool, there's bad news, as WhatsApp has uncovered a glitch. Worryingly, that means any pictures you've sent with View Once could still be saved on the recipient's phone.
During one of my security research sessions, I discovered a way to bypass the 'View Once' feature. This bypass allowed me to access the image even after it was meant to vanish into thin air.
