Victoria Miro gallery launches sophisticated digital platform to put past and present exhibitions online
Briefly

Victoria Miro has launched Live / Archive, a pioneering digital platform that utilizes 3D modelling, augmented reality, and virtual reality to enhance the online viewing of its exhibitions. This initiative includes 72 archived shows dating back nearly six years, marking a significant milestone for the gallery, which opened its first space in 1985. The aim is to expand accessibility to art while decreasing the carbon footprint associated with traditional gallery visits, in response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Live / Archive represents a leap forward in how art is experienced in the digital age. We're excited to be at the forefront of adopting new technologies that not only expand our reach but also significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with traditional art viewing.
The launch archive dates back from this year's shows to Grayson Perry: Super Rich Interior Decoration, which closed on the eve of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
