Threads users have always been able to hide post replies using the options menu on individual posts. A manually hidden reply is visible only to the user who hid it and the person who wrote the reply. Hidden replies are accessible by scrolling to the bottom of a thread and tapping "See all". From the hidden replies list, a user can restore a reply by tapping "Options" next to that reply and selecting "Unhide". The feature gives users direct control over which replies appear in public thread views.
