Starlink has set a target for launching its third-generation satellites in the first half of 2026, designed to work with SpaceX's Starship vehicle. These satellites are expected to deliver over a terabit per second of downlink capacity and over 200 Gbps of uplink capacity. Starlink's network now has a combined capacity of nearly 450 Tbps, with a median peak-hour latency of 25.7 milliseconds in the United States. The service has over 6 million active customers globally and more than 7,800 satellites in orbit.
