Snapchat will notify your friends when you've made it home safe
Briefly

Snapchat has launched a Home Safe feature that alerts friends when a user arrives home. It builds on the existing location sharing capabilities by allowing users to send an automatic message to their selected friends. This means friends need not check in on the user's whereabouts constantly. The alerts will automatically deactivate after being sent once, and can only be sent to friends already sharing location information with the user. Setting up the feature involves defining a home location on Snap Map and using the Map icon within conversations.
