Pinterest is rolling out a recommendation tuner that lets users adjust how much AI-generated content appears in their feed. Pinterest identifies beauty, art, fashion, and home decor as categories with high levels of AI-generated content. The tuner is available on Android and desktop, with iOS rollout following shortly. Pinterest previously launched several AI-powered tools including AI visual search, creator background generation, and Performance+ for advertisers. User complaints on Reddit prompted the addition of these controls to limit synthetic media exposure.
