No, Carnival Cruises is not banning rap music
Briefly

Carnival Cruise Lines denied online claims that DJs aren't playing hip-hop music. A spokesperson stated that allegations of a racially motivated exclusion are false. This misinformation is aggravated by the circulation of a graphic falsely claiming to list new rules. Although a snapshot of established safety regulations resurfaced, which includes a curfew for minors and bans on certain items, it had been in place long before. The only new rule is a ban on 'clack fans'. Carnival also pointed out that various rumors were exaggerated or false.
Matt Lupoli, the senior manager for public relations, denied the allegations regarding music played on board, stating, "Unfortunately, certain media outlets have blown this matter out of proportion. We have always had a wide variety of entertainment options and for the last several years we have communicated our expectations about guest behavior."
While some notices about Carnival have circulated, Lupoli clarified that the snapshot of safety guidelines was authentic but these rules have been in place for more than two years. The only recent addition is a ban on loud 'clack fans.'
Lupoli confirmed that a graphic circulating on TikTok is entirely fake, stating it lists rules effective 'June 2025' while including typos such as 'ault' instead of 'adult' and more.
Despite the rumors, guests can still enjoy hip-hop on Carnival Cruise Lines, and the misinformation around the DJs not playing hip-hop music or honoring requests is unfounded.
