The baby was 'in the early stages of decomposition,' according to Detective Edgar Chavez, making the circumstances surrounding the infant's death particularly concerning and urgent for an investigation.
Capt. Nelson Carrington noted that the baby was between 2 and 3 weeks old. The police are actively seeking information on the incident to provide support to the mother and understand the situation.
Chavez emphasized the need for information regarding the baby’s discovery, stating, 'The department also wants to ensure that the mother has the appropriate support and medical attention needed.'
