As the U.S. becomes more reliant on digital platforms, the federal government is striving to modernize its legacy systems to enhance service delivery. The 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act (IDEA) requires agencies to update their digital services; however, a GAO report shows only 109 out of 192 requirements were being addressed. In response, Congress has introduced the Government Service Delivery Improvement Act (GSDIA) to appoint designated leads for service delivery, emphasizing the importance of modernized systems in meeting the needs of millions of Americans who rely on these essential services.
