Mount Fuji has gone without its snow cap for the longest period since records began 130 years ago, which has caused disquiet among the Japanese people.
Takefumi Sakaki, an official from Fujiyoshida City, remarked on the unsettling nature of Mount Fuji's bare peak: 'This is the first time we haven't seen snow on the mountain in November. Everyone feels strange not seeing snow in November.'
