iOS users with the Washington Post app may have encountered an undismissable black toggle on their screen showing electoral vote counts for the 2024 presidential race.
To dismiss the Electoral College hell-toggle on iOS, navigate to Settings, select Apps, find Wash Post app, click on Live Activities, and turn off Allow Live Activities.
You can reactivate the hell-toggle by turning on Allow Live Activities and accessing the Washington Post app settings to enable live updates from the presidential election.
Apple News apparently has a similar undismissable toggle for live election updates, which can likely be removed in the same settings as the Washington Post.
