The day before the war, I felt joy and anticipation but then, at 6 am, life transformed into an indescribable nightmare filled with rockets and fear.
During the first week of the war, I was displaced three times and felt immense fear of losing my baby and family as the Israeli army warned us to evacuate.
I remember my grandparents’ Nakba tales as I fled to south Gaza with Mohammed, desperate to find shelter amidst the chaos and ongoing violence.
My family’s support was crucial during this time; my mother urged me to stay calm for my baby while Mohammed reminded me of my responsibility to stay stable.
