Hate-watching is a weird thing, as it seems irrational to invest time in poor quality media when so many alternatives exist. It becomes a compulsion to criticize.
Initially captivated by the positive themes in The Bold Type, my enjoyment turned sour due to unexplained plot choices and unrealistic portrayals of digital media processes.
