Google is updating its Ad Preview tool within Google Ads to provide a more comprehensive overview for users. The tool, which allows users to see ads related to specific keywords, now shows notifications for missing assets and encourages their addition before a complete ad preview can be made. While some users might find this feature helpful, others express frustration, preferring to preview existing ads with their current assets. The change aims to enhance user experience by ensuring all components are present for better ad performance.
Govind Singh Panwar spotted the change and explained on X that he 'Spotted a new UI-UX change in Google Ads Ad Preview...' He added, 'Now, the preview is also showing for missing assets and it asks you to add them before you can see the ad. Some may find it useful. I don't. I want to preview ads with the assets I already have.'
The ad preview tool also shows a preview of a Google search result page for a specific term, helping users identify which ads and assets are related to their keywords.
