Scientists at Australia's Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) say forensic imaging, augmented reality (AR) headsets, and artificial intelligence (AI) could reduce the necessity for invasive autopsies.Computed tomography (CT) scans generate the images of the corpse, while Vahid Pooryousef at Australia's Monash University has designed a prototype virtual autopsy system.
