F.B.I. Agents File Suit to Prevent Trump Team From Disclosing Their Identities
Briefly

Two anonymous sets of F.B.I. agents and employees have filed lawsuits to prevent the Trump administration from releasing their identities related to the Capitol riot investigations. These lawsuits were filed in response to a request from the acting deputy attorney general for a list of agents involved, estimated to number around 6,000. The agents fear that this disclosure could expose them and their families to danger, and they seek court orders to prevent any release. While the administration has not confirmed intentions to disclose names, the agents fear it may lead to mass firings driven by political motivations.
Releasing the names of these agents would ignite a firestorm of harassment towards them and their families, and it must be stopped immediately.
The lawsuits appear to be putting down a marker that could expand into a challenge to any mass firings if they happen.
