Meta is launching a global rollout of premium subscriptions for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, following earlier tests. Meta AI subscriptions are also being tested. The monthly prices are $3.99 for Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus and $2.99 for WhatsApp Plus. Instagram Plus includes features such as spotlighting a story once per week, extending story availability by an additional 24 hours, and previewing someone else’s story without appearing as a viewer. Facebook Plus extends story expiration to 48 hours instead of 24 hours and adds additional story-focused interaction bonuses. Meta is expanding subscription offerings to generate new revenue after major AI investments.
