Baby born after mum died in fall from father's ninth-floor flat, inquest hears

Emma Atkinson, a heavily pregnant woman, tragically died after falling from her father's ninth-floor flat, but her baby, named Posie, survived the fall.

At the inquest, Area Coroner Oliver Longstaff noted that Emma Atkinson suffered multiple injuries from the fall and was pronounced dead at Leeds General Infirmary.

Mr. Longstaff extended condolences to Ms. Atkinson's family, emphasizing the need for an inquest into the circumstances of her tragic death.

Despite the calamity, newborn Posie has survived, albeit five weeks premature and currently receiving critical care with a fractured leg.
