At This French Exhibition, Check Your Clothes at the Door

"I liked the idea of being in a place where it's just normal to be naked. Normally, bodies are so sexualized," said Jule Baumann, a visitor.
The exhibition traces the development of the naturist lifestyle in Europe over a century, attracting nearly 100,000 visitors since its opening in July.
Some visitors were regular naturists, recognizable by their tan-line-less backsides, while others were experiencing public nudity for the first time.
Shared nudity in this context was a new way for visitors to relate to art and to their bodies, embracing acceptance and neutrality.
