Reports are surfacing from users on iPhones, iPads, and Macs that downloading apps from Apple's App Store is currently problematic, with the download process repeatedly failing.
Users have noted that when attempting to download an app, the icon briefly starts loading only to revert back to the 'Get' button, preventing installations.
The outage appears to have started around 11 AM ET, with various reports coming from both the US and Europe, backed by DownDetector's outage chart.
Despite the download issues, the App Store is still able to update existing apps, indicating that the problem may be specific to new installations.
