Ann Rockefeller Roberts, Champion of Native Americans, Dies at 90
Briefly

In 1979, Ms. Roberts founded the Fund of the Four Directions, which provided grants to Native American grassroots organizations to invigorate their traditional practices.
Her great empathy for the plight of the Native American people was matched only by her affinity for their culture, rituals, and reverence for the land.
Ann Rockefeller Roberts was instrumental in transferring the Heye Foundation collection of Native American artifacts to the National Museum of the American Indian.
The fund founded by Ms. Roberts later merged with the Flying Eagle Woman Fund, expanding its capacity to support Native American sovereignty and cultural revival.
