Google is launching its Identity Check feature, which provides additional security for critical account and device settings when users are outside of trusted locations. With this feature, explicit biometric authentication is required for actions like changing your pin or disabling theft protection. Users can designate trusted locations to bypass this authentication. The feature is rolling out on Pixel devices running Android 15 and will reach Samsung Galaxy devices soon. Also, Google announced that its Theft Detection Lock feature is now fully available for devices running Android 10 and above, further improving device security.
