Yushima Building / Tenhachi Architect & Interior Design
Briefly

The project near Kanda Myojin Shrine features a 10-story office building designed to integrate with its urban environment, utilizing predominantly wood and durable materials. The building's wood façade made from Franwood reflects sustainable practices while promoting carbon fixation and enhancing thermal comfort. Emphasizing a graceful aging process, the design invites a dialogue with nature, supporting human-scale living and boosting local economies. Internally, open and flexible spaces cater to modern office needs, presenting a thoughtful approach to urban architecture that balances functionality with natural elements.
The design softly blurs the building's outline with the urban landscape, utilizing natural materials like wood to create a dialogue with the environment.
Embracing aging and seasonal changes, the building aims for architecture that matures gracefully rather than preserving a pristine appearance.
