vibrant, iridescent quilts wally dion celebrate indigenous identity and great plains landscapes
Briefly

Wally Dion stitches vivid fabric quilts to reflect the prairie ecosystem and the return of bison, deviating from his original single-layer envisioning.
'I wanted to highlight the invisibility of systems when everything is working; to be able to stand at the edge of a system, let's say hunger, and see behind you buffalo grazing and intertwine that with bison returning to the Great Plains.'
