As anticipation builds for the iPhone 17 launch in September 2025, leaks suggest major design updates across three models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max. Leaked CAD files indicate larger camera arrays and notable differences, particularly with the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air and a bulky camera bump on the Pro model. Despite the excitement, concerns arise about potential sacrifices in performance for aesthetics, especially for the Air with its single camera and the Pro's large bump, raising questions about their practicality and overall appeal.
Rumour has it we're in for three distinct models next year; the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air and iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max.
The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to feature a single camera with a horizontal camera bump that takes up the entire width of the iPhone.
In other words, the camera bump looks absolutely massive. And the 17 Pro is also rumoured to feature a glass section on the rear of the device for reverse charging.
Both the Air and the Pro seem a little nonsensical - in the case of the former it seems like we could see several sacrifices.
