Solarium House / YKAA
Briefly

The architects crafted a Solarium at the heart of the compact house, utilizing twin-wall polycarbonate to filter chaotic outside light while maintaining warmth and insulation.
To address the challenges of urban chaos and limited light, the design emphasizes an open, spacious floor plan while incorporating compact rooms to ensure comfort and tranquility.
Openings in walls and ceilings not only frame varying qualities of natural light but also create a psychological distance from the urban environment, enhancing the residents' experience.
By deliberately designing low ceilings and room heights, the home retains tranquility and coziness, contrasting beautifully with the expansive, airy Solarium at the center.
