Shape-Shifting Off-Grid Retreat House Offers a Custom Nature Experience - Yanko Design
Briefly

Michael Jantzen’s Interactive Autonomous Retreat House challenges traditional architecture by offering a structure that adapts to individual preferences and environmental conditions. The key feature includes a large exterior canopy with 32 slotted panels that can shift position either automatically or manually. When open, these panels allow the house to transform its shape and function, thus personalizing the user experience. The structure is energy self-sufficient, featuring solar panels that enhance its dynamic design. A glass living pod provides an inviting space beneath the adaptive canopy.
The Interactive Autonomous Retreat House redefines architecture by enabling a structure to adapt dynamically to the needs and moods of its occupants.
At its core, the project incorporates a large canopy with movable slotted panels, allowing the retreat to transform based on environmental conditions and personal preferences.
