The Villa Planchart exhibition at Milan Design Week 2024 showcases a custom tableware collection created by Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1953 for the Venezuelan Villa Planchart, along with a collection of archives.
Saint Laurent, in collaboration with Ginori 1735, reintroduced twelve original plates from the Villa Planchart Segnaposto collection beautifully hand-painted with motifs reflecting Ponti's architectural design.
The exhibition pays tribute to Ponti's work in designing a modernist villa in Caracas in 1953, engaging traditional Italian craftsmanship and specifically highlighting the Villa Planchart tableware.
