sabine marcelis' 3D printed case made of recycled rock collects live insects for bioresearch
Briefly

The 3D-printed armature, made of reclaimed slate biofilament, is designed to safely collect, transport, and house live insects for scientific research.
The EXOPACK project by DEEP involves creating a lightweight, flat-pack ready, reusable insect case with clear and opaque sides for observation and prevention of males sitting together.
Studio Sabine Marcelis utilized reclaimed rock slate and biofilament to create a portable insect enclosure with adjustable space, signature color fades, and PET film walls.
