Office by Nature / Studio Massimo
"Set on the edge of the Blaricum heathland, the Tafelberg office is conceived as a place where work takes place within the landscape rather than apart from it."
"The building withdraws into its surroundings, allowing nature to remain visually continuous while quietly shaping the architecture's form, materiality, and atmosphere."
Set on the edge of the Blaricum heathland, the Tafelberg office positions work within the natural landscape rather than separating it. The building retreats into its surroundings to preserve the visual continuity of nature while reducing visual impact. The surrounding heathland determines the building’s shape, choice of materials, and ambient qualities, producing a subtle architecture shaped by natural conditions. The design prioritizes unobtrusive presence, allowing the landscape to remain the dominant visual element while architectural decisions respond to and are informed by the existing environment. The resulting atmosphere emphasizes harmony between built form and nature.
