New gallery championing women and queer artists to open in east London
Briefly

SLQS Gallery opens on February 13 in Shoreditch, founded by artist Sarah Le Quang Sang. The inaugural exhibit, titled 'Felt, expressed, chose,' showcases non-romantic expressions of love through various artists' works. Upcoming shows include Bex Wade's solo photography exhibition, focusing on New York’s queer club scene, and a group exhibition centered on migration and the Vietnamese diaspora. Le Quang Sang, with a diverse background from performances to business, seeks to create a space where women and queer artists feel valued and free in their artistic expressions.
Becoming a mother changed everything-my schedule, my mobility, my decisions. Starting my own gallery is partly driven by a desire to work in a way that honours this reality.
The second show is of photographs by Bex Wade, the first trans non-binary artist whose work has been acquired by London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
