Located on a narrow corner plot in dense Chennai, the Cut Bend Fold Play House occupies three edges of its site and opens only at a single corner. A continuous concrete plane wraps the perimeter, forming a dense outer shell that buffers heavy adjacency and creates a singular street presence. Beyond the threshold the concrete shifts inward, revealing hollowed interiors where daylight enters from above and within. A series of carved courtyards, drawn from the Indian typology, organizes the plan. The largest court extends into the ground floor to create an open living plate that mediates between formal and private areas and supports flexible daily life.
