House of Shadow / Laurent Troost Architectures
Briefly

The 'House of Shadow' addresses the need for controlled sunlight in response to the client's photophobia, using concrete walls to filter natural light effectively.
Designed with the client's extreme sensitivity to light in mind, the architecture features gardens that protect from direct sunlight while maintaining views of the surroundings.
The home's design promotes spaciousness and privacy by integrating living areas with outdoor spaces, thus providing a tranquil environment that suits the family’s lifestyle.
To compensate for the reduced sunlight, specially designed floor light fixtures were installed to enhance indoor illumination and create a comfortable living atmosphere.
