dodesign sculpts rhythmic stone path and reflective pavilion in secluded chinese valley
Briefly

The Drifting Stones project, designed by DoDesign, consists of two primary elements: The Stacks and The Hut, both nestled in the serene valleys of Chongqing, China. Inspired by a large granite boulder, the design presents a meditative retreat that integrates artistry and natural themes. The Stacks, a series of ten layered stone slabs, provide breathtaking views, while The Hut merges built space with the landscape through reflective surfaces. This project blends raw materials with contemporary aesthetics, creating a unique experience that connects visitors to the extraordinary natural setting.
The Drifting Stones project emerged serendipitously from a massive boulder that inspired an architectural intervention embodying extraordinary nature while creating a harmonious retreat.
Visitors can ascend the layered rock formations of The Stacks, engaging with the natural landscape while stepping into The Hut, which unites built space with nature.
