DJI Glide Hybrid Drone Concept adds Glider-Wings for Better Range and Energy-Efficient Flying - Yanko Design
Briefly

The DJI Glide's innovative hybrid design blends the traditional quadcopter build with aerodynamic wings, enhancing battery efficiency and extending flying range at high altitudes.
Designed by Baptiste Grenon, the DJI Glide includes unique propeller placements—two standard and two integrated into the wings—promoting stability and flight precision thanks to their dual functionality.
While the DJI Glide excels in FPV flying with its Hasselblad camera providing point-of-view footage, the added cameras ensure spatial awareness, preventing accidents during autonomous flights.
Despite its aerodynamic benefits, the wings of the DJI Glide pose a trade-off, limiting certain complex maneuverabilities like reverse flight and sharp turns, signaling a focus on soaring capability.
