Towers of soaps inscribed with emotive words, stilt houses, colorful maps, and mangrove plants are among the 177 art installations at the Diriyah Biennale in Riyadh.
"We live in an environment that is challenged by climate change. Food, water and shelter are precious for so many in this moment in time," says Ute Meta Bauer, the biennale's artistic director.
