Art Basel has announced that its flagship Swiss fair will run from June 19-22, 2025, with preview days on the 17th and 18th. This edition will feature 291 galleries, including 18 making their debut. A new Premiere sector will showcase contemporary works by exceptional artists created within the last five years. Prominent installations, like a chromatic painting by Katharina Grosse, will enhance the event's appeal. Executive director Maike Cruse emphasizes the fair's importance in promoting cultural dialogue and artistic expression.
I am excited to once again welcome the global art world to our flagship event in June. Art Basel 2025 promises to be a defining moment, showcasing a diverse range of extraordinary artworks.
With an unmatched line-up of galleries, the introduction of exciting new sectors like Premiere, the return of Parcours, and a stunning immersive installation by Katharina Grosse, Art Basel continues to be a powerful platform.
