"Every element of this house, designed for a newlywed couple, is closely connected with light."
"The site is located in a densely packed residential area of Seoul, where strong measures for privacy are required."
"For a client concerned about exposure, we boldly proposed a house that relinquishes outward views, allowing all senses to focus on light itself."
Every element of the house is organized around light as the primary design driver. The project serves a newlywed couple located in a densely packed residential neighborhood of Seoul, requiring strong privacy measures. The design strategy abandons outward views to reduce exposure and reinforce privacy. Architectural choices deliberately close off visual connections to the outside, redirecting attention and sensory perception toward light within the house. Spatial configuration and openings are used to control illumination and atmosphere, transforming domestic experience into an inward, light-focused environment rather than a view-oriented one.
