Rivian is offering up to $5,470 in discount if you trade in an eligible gas-powered truck or SUV when you purchase or lease a qualifying R1 electric vehicle package in the US and Canada.
Rivian will accept popular gas vehicles like Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as Audi and BMW models for trade-in to appeal to a wider audience considering the electric switch.
The amount of discount will depend on the vehicle's condition, ranging from CAD$1,000 to CAD$7,500. A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required, and delivery must be accepted between April 22 and June 30.
Rivian's Electric Upgrade Offer comes amidst lower EV demand; other automakers like Tesla also introduce discounts. Rivian buyers will get a year of free charging at Rivian Adventure Network sites.
