Canada McGill University's Attila Szantner approached gamers to help with research through Borderlands Science, solving 135 million puzzles to provide valuable DNA data.
The data gathered will be used to study how microbes relate to aging, diseases like Alzheimer's and inflammatory bowel disease, and improve AI programs for cell analysis.
