Here's How Hot Weather Affects Electric Car Range
Briefly

According to Recurrent, electric vehicles can lose as much as 31% of their advertised range in sweltering weather due to the high energy consumption required to cool down the interior when it's hot outside.
The best solution to mitigate range loss in hot weather is to pre-cool the interior by keeping the EV plugged into a home charger, allowing the cabin to cool without draining the high-voltage battery.
Recurrent's data shows that the temperature difference between the ambient temperature and the climate control setting directly impacts the energy usage and subsequent range loss in electric vehicles.
Analyzing individual EVs, Recurrent found that the Chevrolet Bolt EV can experience significant range loss at certain temperatures, but also surpass its official range rating when it's 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
