Google has launched the Data Science Agent in its Colab platform to assist data scientists and researchers by automating tedious tasks like importing libraries and writing boilerplate code. Initially introduced to trusted testers, this AI tool leverages Google’s Gemini AI to streamline workflows, particularly in academic and research settings, enabling users to analyze data more efficiently. The rollout is aimed at Colab users aged 18 and older in select countries, bolstering research capabilities and productivity in the data science community.
"Trusted testers are enthusiastic about the Data Science Agent, reporting they are able to streamline workflows and uncover insights faster than ever before," said the Google team.
Google has now announced the broader availability of its AI-powered Data Science Agent, set to transform workflows in universities, research labs, and beyond.
